THE ARTIST
I was in a rap group in college. Whenever I walk around I beatbox the whole time. I won a poetry contest in elementary school. I wrote my wife poetry to convince her to marry me. I draw a mean Lighting McQueen. I have been making short films for over 20 years. I am a photoshop junky. I have produced content for numerous national advertising campaigns. I collect old cameras and microphones. I learned photography in a real darkroom. I have worked in professional design and layout for two different companies. I have freelanced in design and layout for 15 years. I have a friend who prints the sweet t--shirts that I design. I own a small worship films company. I wrote a novel. I have a master degree in ministry. I had an awesome and hilarious radio morning show for three years on Elevate FM. I secretly hope to one day direct a feature length film. I spent years shooting, editing, and do VFX for three national and one regional television shows.
THE MAN
I am a native Michigander who now resides in Kentucky. I am proud to be a fan of both Michigan football and Kentucky basketball. I have a beautiful wife, two awesome kids, and a hyper dog. I have spent almost 20 years on the front lines of pastoral ministry both with youth and adults. I like Apple products. I am a teacher at heart and love to coach people toward living into their calling.
THE BELIEVER
I can't deny it, and I don't deserve it. I am a believer in the grace and love of Jesus Christ. It has radically affected me and continues to challenge and transform me. I have seen Christ at work everywhere from in my home to the slums of San Salvador. I believe that God is at work in our lives, His word is true, and that He has given us amazing stories of His work that need to be shared with the world.
THE TEACHER
I have always had a hunger to learn. I love literature, history, theology, biographies, and more. But for me the greatest thrill is taking these intensely complex concepts and boiling them down to a level where people can connect with them and apply them. I think in terms of image and impact, so my teaching and preaching involves a lot of visuals and connection points. I can teach the Bible to a church or principles of photography one on one. Teaching stirs my soul.
WRITING
I have written a novel. The Impersonator, is about a disillusioned rock star who goes into hiding in order to find himself.
